Blake Shelton took the stage at the Country Music Awards to perform his hit song, Mine Would Be You.

Nominated for Music Video of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year, Shelton was also up for Musical Event of the Year in collaboration with the Pistol Annies.

"[Blake] really deserves to be in the spotlight right now," said Miranda Lambert, Shelton's wife and a fellow CMA nominee, according to The Boot. "He's making country music look great now on national television every week, and I just feel like it's his time."

The 37-year-old singer released his eighth studio album, Based on a True Story, in March of 2012 and rode its tidal wave of success all the way through the rest of the year. While selecting and coaching the wining performer of The Voice for the third time, Shelton put together the Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert to raise money for tornado victims in his home state of Oklahoma after the Moore tornado in late May.

After spending the summer on the road for his Ten Times Crazier Tour, Shelton is now back on NBC's The Voice for its fifth season.
