Big Bang Theory actor Johnny Galecki is finally spilling the beans about his the hush hush real-life romance he had with co-star Kaley Cuoco for two years.

According to CBS Watch! Magazine, the 38-year-old has finally given the confirmation that him and his onscreen flame were indeed an item, which he says he kept on the down-low for the preservation of their sitcom characters.

"I just don't like to speak about it, and not because I'm trying to be enigmatic, I just worry that it will conflict with people's acceptance of Leonard and Penny," he said.

Cuoco was actually the first of the two to discuss her relationship with Galecki back in 2010.

"We dated for almost two years. It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it. This is the first time I've ever talked about it, ever. It was a wonderful relationship, but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together," she said.

The effort to try and stay out of the public spotlight with one another and keep their relationship secret eventually took its toll on them.

"We knew we weren't destined to be together. We accepted it and said, 'Look if we ever break up, we will be professional. I'm so lucky it was a mutual ending and that we don't hate each other. We've seen that happen on other shows," Cuoco continued.

In September, Cuoco suddenly became engaged to boyfriend/tennis pro, Ryan Sweeting.

After hearing about the actress' engagement in September, Galecki told E! News that he's indeed "very, very happy for her" which makes him "terribly happy."
