Carly Rae Jepsen took to the stage live last night to her single "Call Me Maybe", performing right after Justin Bieber at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The Canadian singer who is associated with Justin Bieber, nearly upstaged the "Boyfriend" singer, dressed in shiny silver pants and a green tank top, and her catchy tune.

Before Bieber performed live onstage, Bieber said to MTV: "This performance is going to be fun. I practiced a lot in the dance studio. I've been working hard, and I can't wait to show the fans what I've been working so hard on."

He added that there is no competition between him and Jepsen. "[It's] not a competition. It's all love. We're all a family. Carly is my artist, and I'm Usher's artist, so it's kind of cool that we're all performing here, together."

Carly Rae Jepsen's catchy song is about giving someone you don't know your phone number. The snog has hit number one in the UK, Canada and Australia and has been in the top 5 on iTunes.

Jepsen, 26, was signed on by Justin Bieber's manager's record label "Schoolboy Records/Interscope", after he spotted her track. Bieber appeared in her YouTube video, along with Selena Gomez, and Ashley Tisdale.

Jepsen's YouTube video of the single has been watched nearly 70 million times since its launch on Mar 1.
