On Game of Thrones season 4, fans should expect Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) to have a very important storyline - perhaps her biggest yet.

Assuming the Game of Thrones writers continue to faithfully adapt George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Margaery will be involved in a big conspiracy in season 4.

The events of the Purple Wedding cause mass chaos throughout King's Landing as the hunt for Joffrey's (Jack Gleeson) poisoner begins. As Cersei (Lena Headey) is already suspicious of Margaery and her ambitions, she automatically suspects that Margaery is the one to have poisoned Joffrey.

Though the identity of who poisoned Joffrey is not revealed explicitly, it becomes known to a select few that the plan was a conspiracy hatched by the Tyrells and Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen).

With Joffrey out of the way, Margaery is arranged to marry the next brother in line to throne, Tommen Baratheon. This causes even more anger and suspicion in Cersei.

However, fans should not expect Cersei to outwit or kill Margaery any time soon. Though Cersei will try her hardest to take Margaery down, she will end up failing miserably and bring herself down in the process. Cersei will continue her plots throughout the series, based on the happenings in the novels, but she will finally have her biggest downfall in book 5, A Dance of Dragons.
