Christina Aguilera stunned as she walked the red carpet at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday and showed off her thinner frame.

The 32-year-old wore a white Maria Lucia Hohan gown paired with Christian Louboutin shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Her long-sleeved cut out gown also had a high slit by her thigh and tastefully showed off some skin.

Aguilera received a lot of negative comments in regards to the dress she wore to last year's award show.

Following the release of her seventh studio album Lotus, The Voice coach attended the event in a lavender gown and sported a blonde bob cut. Critics commented on the singer's weight gain and some even added her to the worst dressed list.

Many also criticized her performance of Army Of Me and Let There Be Love, which included eccentric dancers and tons of confetti.

This year, however, the singer silenced her haters when she hit the stage with A Great Big World and performed a touching rendition of their duet Say Something.

Aguilera, who approached the duo to be a part of their song, explained her desire to work with them in a behind-the-scenes video released on Nov. 1.

"This song Say Something sort of is coming to me at a time when I'm feeling very inspired," she said in the clip. "I'm only taking on projects that feel good to me and represent, as always, a purpose of the here and now in my life and that's what this song, Say Something, actually does for me."
