While some couples believe in love and finding one person to spend the rest of their life with, they don't necessarily feel they need marriage to be truly happy together.

With a divorce rate at near 50 percent, so many couples refuse to make the commitment and the trend is one that has swept into several Hollywood relationships.

While some have been in relationships for decades, they have no plans to marry at all. Others refuse to take the plunge until the full legalization of marriage equality, and some single A-listers have no intentions of settling down.

Enstars compiled a list of six celebrity couples and two single celebrities who have no intention of getting married:

Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt:The Mad Men actor and Friends with Kids director have been together since 1991, but they have no plans on ever marrying. Hamm has said in interviews with Parade and Elle UK that he believes "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and "having a piece of paper serves to remind you of your commitment, but we do a pretty good job of reminding each other." He has also pointed out that "Jen is the love of my life, and we've already been together four times longer than my parents were married."

Oprah Winfrey & Stedman Graham:  The media mogul has been with her beau for 27 years, but has made it known that she and her "Honeygraham" won't tie the knot because the pressure of the title attached to being married is too much.

Kristen Bell & Dax Shepard: Though the couple became engaged in 2010 after three years of dating, they famously refused to tie the knot until everyone in the state of California had the right to do so. They even welcomed a daughter, Lincoln Bell Shepard in March 2013, two months before the Defense of Marriage Act was struck down by the Supreme Court. Even though the couple has since tied the knot, their small ceremony on Oct. 17, 2013 at the Beverly Hills Courthouse was simple and cheap, costing them less than $150.

George Clooney: Perhaps the most famous terminal bachelor in Hollywood is also one of the most consistently voted sexiest men in the town. While Clooney is a bit of a serial monogamist who has had two-year relationships with women including Elisabetta Canalis and Stacey Keibler, he refuses to marry because he "gave it a shot" before. Clooney was married to Talia Balsam from 1989-1993.

Cameron Diaz: Though the blond beauty has had several high-profile relationships over the years with Matt Dillon, Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez, she has said that while she may still consider it someday, she just wasn't drawn to the idea of marriage in her 20s or 30s.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: Though the couple have been together since 2005 and are raising six kids together, they also refuse to officially wed until gay marriage is legalized. They have since gotten engaged, but official plans to walk down the aisle have not been made. Both have also been married before: Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston for five years, while Jolie had three-year unions with Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger: While the Dawson's Creek actor and Inglorious Basterds actress have been together since 2006, they have no rush to get married and are content with their relationship as is.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell: Kate Hudson's mother has been with Russell for 27 years, but won't marry him. She has seen this relationship outlive both of her previous marriages, which proved to her that the institution isn't necessary for their relationship to be successful. Hawn has even attributed their success as a couple to the freedom that comes from not being married, saying once "I wake up every day knowing I can walk out at any moment. It's [that knowledge] that keeps things fresh." She also attributes their successful relationship to liking the "way each other smells."
