On the next few episodes of Once Upon a Time, there will plenty of interesting developments in relationships, including Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue).

Once Upon a Time co-creator told TVLine recently that Emma will be focused on saving her son Henry (Jared Gilmore) now that he is in present danger. This focus will cause Emma to not pay any attention to her budding relationship with Hook. However, Hook and Emma's other love interest Neal (Michael Raymond-James) will confront the love triangle head on in the Dec. 8 episode, titled The New Neverland.

"You'll see how they're going to deal with each other and with Emma in, I think, a surprising way," Kitsis added.

Meanwhile, Neal will be coming to an understanding with his father Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), whose own father was revealed to be Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) in a recent episode of Once Upon a Time.

"It provides an opportunity for Neal to see his father as someone who carried a burden for hundreds of years because he was hurt or embarrassed about Pan being his father," Raymond-James told TV Guide recently. "It really allows him to see his dad in a new light. That's a revelatory moment for Neal."

While all of these relationships are being explored, the gang will also be trying to save Henry, defeat Pan and escape Neverland altogether.

Once Upon a Time season 3 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
