Leading into the new year, Enstars compiled a list of 2013's biggest celebrity divorces and splits. 

Some lasted years while others were merely months long. Others were torn apart due to infidelities that surfaced, sometimes with photos and eyewitnesses proving the scandal. 

Perhaps one of the most talked about breakups of the year was that of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Reps for both stars confirmed the duo's split in September after a 15-month engagement. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor proposed to the Wrecking Ball singer in the summer of 2012 with a 3.5 carat cushion diamond engagement ring designed by Neil Lane. They met on the set of the 2010 film they co-starred in, The Last Song. 

Throughout their relationship they faced speculation that Hemsworth cheated on his fiancee. He was romantically linked to Mad Men star January Jones and Mexican model Eiza Gonzalez. Hemsworth and Cyrus were also accused of breaking up and getting back together a number of times, fueled by the singer's tendency to go out in public and take photos without her engagement ring on.
