After reports surfaced that Robert Pattinson called Kristen Stewart recently and invited her to spend Christmas with him at his family home in London, a source told E! News that is not true.

According to Entertainmentwise, the 27-year-old actor called his former girlfriend to congratulate her for her latest film Camp X-Ray getting picked up as a contender at the Sundance Film Festival. The film, which recreates the titular detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, will premiere at the festival in 2014.

"Rob reached out to Kristen to congratulate her for Camp X-Ray being selected for Sundance. They talked for a while and by the end of the conversation he invited her to come see him in London," an insider told the publication.

The source went on to reveal that "they talked for a while and by the end of the conversation he invited her to come see him in London." The insider added that Stewart is "not sure if she's 100% going to take him up on it, but she was just so happy."

"But she's hoping they'll travel to Paris together on Boxing Day and from there on to the Loire Valley."

According to another report in The Sun, the couple was planning to travel though Europe after Christmas.

A separate source recently quashed the reconciliation rumors for the holidays and told E! News there is no truth to them. Pattinson did not invite Stewart for Christmas, according to the insider. On Dec. 9, Stewart was spotted taking off in a private jet from L.A but that the destination was not known at the time.

Camp X-Ray, directed and written by Peter Sattler, tells the story of a female guard (Stewart) stationed at the detention facility and her unlikely friendship with one of the detainees. The film also stars Peyman Moaadi, Lane Garroson, J.J. Soria and John Carroll Lynch.

The four-day film festival will take place from Jan. 16-26, 2014.
