The Christmas drama is only beginning to start on Coronation Street.

The Platt family has been trying to piece their lives back together and fix their broken relationships, but Gail's (Helen Worth) attempts to get her sons back to normal will force other members of the family to implode.

Gail recently allowed David (Jack P. Sheperd) back into the family fold, despite protests from both Nick (Ben Price) and his estranged wife Kylie (Paula Lane). After Kylie is forced to let David attend her son Max's (Harry McDermott) nativity play, she will turn to alcohol to handle it, arriving drunk and causing a scene. She will be asked to leave while David stays, potentially opening up another reason for the couple to fight.

Meanwhile, Tina (Michelle Keegan) will attend Simon's (Alex Bain) nativity play in Carla's (Alison King) place when she cannot go, forcing her to sit next to Peter (Chris Gascoyne) for the entire performance. While they watch the play, Peter will inform her that Carla told him about seeing Tina and Rob (Marc Baylis) kissing in the backyard of the Rovers.

Despite Rob cheating on Peter's sister Tracy (Kate Ford), his focus will be more on the fact that his mistress has moved on with someone else. He may be considering using the information against her, threatening to tell his sister if Tina won't continue their affair. However, he may be just another pawn in Tina's own game -she only flirted with and kissed Rob in an effort to make Peter jealous.

Roy (David Neilson) will also nervously take his driving test in this episode.

The new episode of Coronation Street airs Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.
