Despite a high profile divorce from her ex-husband, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams revealed that she and Kordell Stewart were at one point hesitant to call it quits.

In a sneak peek for Sunday's episode, set to air Jan. 5, Williams confessed to her family that she contacted Stewart during a girl's trip to Savannah, Ga. with her fellow cast members.

"Something about the house we were in in Savannah kind of made you think inward," she said, "So, I had just been thinking or whatever and I actually contacted... Kordell... I was reaching out to maybe try to find some closure...Somewhere in there he did say that he did not want the divorce."

She added that Stewart gave her an ultimatum: get back with him and come home or "leave and fend for yourself."

Her mother and sister didn't hold back when showing how upset and disappointed they were in Williams' interaction with her now ex-husband, reminding her that he had been controlling and had kicked her out.

Her mom said, "In Kordell's case, 'my wife is my possession, under my ownership' and all that kind of thing." Her sister chimed in and reminded Porsha of who she was when she and Kordell were together.

"Porsha with no job, Porsha with no life, Porsha with no friends, Porsha with no family. That is my wife," she said.

Williams said it wasn't easy for her to let her family know about the phone call, as they have not been Stewart's biggest fans since the divorce.

"If they had their way, they would wipe Kordell of the face of the earth and I would never have any contact with him ever again," she said.

After talking with them, she regretted contacting Stewart. She said, "Looking back, it wasn't a good idea to reach out to Kordell. I'm not trying to be controlled by him or manipulated. For me at this point, I really want this divorce to be over and move on with my life."
