The Community season 5 premiere is just days away, and star Joel McHale recently revealed many new details on what to expect from the season.

McHale, who plays Jeff Winger on the NBC sitcom, said that the first few episodes will be a reformatting of the show as Jeff comes back to Greendale Community College.

"Jeff gets lured into coming back because Rob Corddry, [who plays] his old partner, figures out a way that Greendale can be sued into oblivion and we can make a ton of money and put them out of business," McHale revealed to TVLine. Since things did not work out for Jeff, he is "faced with this massive decision. The group catches wind of it and assumes he's trying to help the school, but in fact he's doing the opposite."

Community Reunites Breaking Bad Cast & Crew for Season 5?

Community is readjusting back to the feeling of its first three seasons now that creator Dan Harmon has returned. The creator and showrunner was fired by NBC before season 4, during which there were many criticisms that the show just wasn't the same. NBC brought Harmon back in time to retool the show for season 5.

"The show is in Dan's head; it always has been," McHale said. "That's the only place that it ever came out of. It's so specific to his voice. The scripts are some of the best we have ever done, by a mile! When we do our table reads, it is like opening a gift."
