A new clip from The Railway Man starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman has been released.

The footage shows Eric (Firth) and Patti (Kidman) sharing a romantic moment. The two are sitting at a kitchen table while Patti speaks and Eric interrupts saying, "Don't move." A confused Patti stares on as Eric adds, "Because I'm looking at you."

The Railway Man is the true story of a victim from World War II's "Death Railway" who hunts the people responsible for his torture.

A clock is ticking in their awkward silence while they continue to smirk and stare at each other. Suddenly a timer goes off and Eric gets up to grab a pot of rice. As he's about to serve the meal, Patti says "You're making quite a meal of this."

"That was the general idea," Eric responds.

Check out the clip here.

Patti suddenly gets up and kisses Eric. When she breaks away from him, she tells him she's never kissed a man with a moustache before. Eric finds that amusing, until Patti says that she doesn't think she'll kiss a man with a moustache again. Eric asks if the man is supposed to remove the moustache and Patti replies "Yes, that would do nicely."

The Railway Man won a SIGNIS Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival in 2013, which went to director Johnathan Teplitzky. The film was also nominated for a Golden Seashell Award for Best Film.

The film currently does not have a release date for the United States.
