It looks like Lamar Odom has reason to be worried about being portrayed negatively on Keeping Up the Kardashians.

He's been warned by Bruce Jenner to "expect the worst" when it comes to the show's new season airing later in January, an insider told Hollywood Life. The source added that Jenner told Odom, "This is how [the Kardashians] survive-by putting everything on the table."

Odom, whose ex-wife Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce in December, reportedly talked to Jenner for an hour by phone on New Year's Day because the latter wanted to check on the NBA player to make sure he was okay, mentally. Jenner also encouraged him to begin 2014 with a fresh start.

"He told Lamar to forget about everything that happened in 2013 and not drag all the drama, defeats and embarrassments with him," the source said. "Bruce told him, 'It will eat you alive and ruin any progress if you stay in the past.'"

Jenner also reportedly told Lamar to stay away from technology and social media in an effort to avoid hearing gossip about himself.

Odom was concerned that his messy split with Kardashian would be aired on national television and negatively impact the basketball career he is trying to revive, Enstars previously reported.

"The last thing Lamar needs in his life is to be portrayed as a schmuck. Khloe has assured him that it won't be bad, but how can it not be?" a different source said. "The end of the marriage is going to be Khloe's main storyline next season and Lamar is afraid that his drug use and cheating will be addressed on the show."
