Cate Blanchett was nearly speechless when asked how it felt to win her Golden Globe on Sunday, Jan. 12.

The actress won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for her role in Blue Jasmine. GoldenGlobeAwards.com posted a video of Blanchett backstage where she was being interviewed about her win.

"You expect me to say something intelligible after I just won this thing?" Blanchett playfully asked. "That's a very big ask."

"I'm overwhelmed," she added about receiving the honor. "It comes at the end of the evening after you've had so much anxiety in which so many talented people go up there and accept things."

The moment was so exhilarating that Blanchett couldn't even remember what she said in her acceptance speech. She continued, "I had blanked it out. I can't even remember what I said or didn't say except that this is extraordinary."

The Oscar winner said she wanted to show the award to her children who were with her that night, explaining, "That's the first protocol."

"I better get name written on it though because they all look the same and someone might come and steal it!" she added.

This is Blanchett's third Golden Globe Awards. She won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her role in I'm Not There and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture- Drama for her starring role in Elizabeth.
