NCIS: Los Angeles is off the air for the next few weeks, but the cast and crew have turned out plenty of spoilers and behind-the-scenes photos to hold fans over.

The CBS drama briefly returned from its midseason hiatus on Tuesday night with "Allegiance," but the series will return in February with "War Cries," "Tuhon," and more.

"War Cries," which will be the 14 th episode to air (513 for production), is penned by R. Scott Gemmill ("Impact") and will focus on the team's mission to protect Robert Brown (Dylan Bruno), an Army intelligence officer/private contractor and a key witness to war crimes, according to TV Guide. Unfortunately for Mr. Brown, there are those who would prefer to see him dead before he can testify about what he uncovered.

As they work to keep Robert Brown alive, Sam (LL Cool J) will play matchmaker with Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and an unknown entity. In other words, prepare for some extra banter between the two partners

"Sam sets up Callen on a date. Is there a romance brewing? #staytuned E513(14) #NCISLA," teased John Peter Kousakis via Twitter.

Meanwhile, Nell (Renee Felice Smith) will be utilizing an entirely different skill set during the case. As the intelligence analyst continues to leave the Op Center in Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) absence, the young agent will be beefing up on her fighting skills.

"#staytuned #NCISLA fans! Here is a tease: Nell has been working out. Watch her masterful moves coming in Jan. @reneefsmith ROCKS!" tweeted executive producer John Peter Kousakis .

NCIS: LA airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Click the video below to watch Sam and Callen practice their back and forth as they berate each other's eating habits.
