'Teen Wolf' Season 3 Spoilers: Posey, O'Brien & Reed React To Major Upcoming Character Death, Extended Preview For 'Galvanize' [VIDEO]
Death is coming for a major Teen Wolf character, and, as viewers try to guess who will soon be six feet under, the cast recently expressed their thoughts on the matter.
As the MTV show prepared to premiere season 3B at the start of January, series creator Jeff Davis sent a ripple of fear through the Teen Wolf fandom when he announced that one of the five core characters will meet their demise before the season is through.
"Prepare to lose someone," Davis told Happy Cool. "We will be possibly be changing out main title sequence so not everyone's going to make it out of this season alive."
If the upcoming victim is indeed featured in the opening credits, this means it would have to be Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Allison (Crystal Reed), Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), or Lydia (Holland Roden). Although Posey, O'Brien, and Reed aren't allowed to reveal the unfortunate character's identity, the trio recently shared their reactions about the impending death with The Wrap. "One of our core cast members dies and that doesn't happen until the end of the season and its really sad, so sad," Reed explained. "It's extra sad for the character because their such a great group of friends on the show, so it's gonna be sad."
Posey, however, was a little disappointed that Davis broke the news rather than allowing fans to be shocked, Supernatural style.
"I kind of wish Jeff [Davis] didn't tease that because it would have been so much more impactful when you watch it and this character dies," Posey said. "I don't want to tease it at all, but it's someone who you've grown to love on the show."
Meanwhile, O'Brien pointed out that his character is less physically able to protect himself than some of the others.
"I think you may have to worry about Stiles a little bit just because he has probably the least ability to protect himself or defend himself out of the three," the 22-year-old actor said. "Scott's an Alpha werewolf and Allison's got hunting skills...we're all in the same danger and Stiles has no way to protect himself."
