The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and husband Joe Giudice could be facing jail time, but they say their recent legal struggles have only brought them closer.

In an interview with ABC's Good Morning America co-host Amy Robach on Tuesday, the Giudices broke their silence on their 41-count indictment on mail and wire fraud, bank fraud and bankruptcy fraud from 2001-2011. Teresa did not speak on the specifics of the case.

"I would love to answer all your questions, but out of respect of the process, I'm going to the legal matters play out in court," Teresa said.

According to documents obtained, Joe failed to submit tax returns for 2004-2008 and in total, the Giudices alledgely obtained more than $5 million in bank loans due to fraudulent and falsified paperwork.

"I can't just be upset and crawl into a ball and just go in the room and lock the door. I can't. I'm a mom, I have four daughters," Teresa said.

The Giudices have pleaded not guilty and have requested separate trials at the request of their lawyers.

Joe said that despite the legal case, he is maintaining a strong mindset for his family.

"If you're weak, you're not going to make it," he said.

"No rumors are ever going to come between us. If anything through all of us, it's me who's stronger and we are grateful for that," Teresa said.
