FBI Agent, Ace Reporter & Detective to Pose Serious Threat Toward Ray?

It was also recently announced that Hank Azaria (The Simpsons) would be joining the cast as an FBI agent on the show.

While the date for the return of Ray Donovan for its second season hasn't been revealed yet, fans can be assured as filming is well underway in Los Angeles.

Recently some footage and images from filming in Los Angeles were revealed. In the images, star Liev Schrieber is seen wearing a steely expression escorting an actress who is bleeding from a gun wound to her arm. Dressed in a dark jacket and a pair of crisp jeans, Schrieber's grey shirt is smeared with blood, as he holds on to a bloodied towel. In character, he is seen wielding a hand gun and shooting at the unseen assailant.

Schrieber plays the lead role of Ray Donovan in the show and was also nominated for a Golden Globe for the portrayal this year. Bryan Cranston beat Schrieber, taking the award for his performance as Walter White in Breaking Bad.

Jon Voight won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, for his role as Mickey Donovan, Ray's father, on the show.

The show is expected to return with the next season sometime during the summer.

Ray Donovan airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
