The Simpsons star Hank Azaria will have a recurring role as the head of a Los Angeles division of the FBI in the second season of Showtime's Ray Donovan.

The Hollywood Reporter announced the news on Wednesday that Azaria will play division head James Cochran. It is known that Azaria will appear in multiple episodes and his character is set to bring trouble for Ray (Liev Schreiber), although it is unknown what kind of trouble and how much.

Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) is set to play Azaria's wife on the series. There will also be an ace reporter and a detective who are set to create trouble for Ray.

Azaria is most commonly known for his voice animated work on The Simpsons. He also previously starred in the Showtime program Huff for two seasons.

The actor won three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his roles on The Simpsons. He also won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Movie for his role in Tuesdays with Morrie.

There is no specific date for when Ray Donovan is scheduled to return to Showtime, but it will be sometime this summer.

The series stars Schreiber as a professional "fixer" for Los Angeles celebrities with the ability to make their problems disappear. However, the job does come with some consequences.

The series won a Golden Globe this year for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, which went to Jon Voight for his role as Mickey Donovan.

Ray Donovan airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
