"I've got two more weeks shooting Doctor Who, which hopefully is going to go in July," Wheatley informed Uproxx as filming commenced for episode 2.

Unlike seasons 6 and 7, showrunner Steven Moffat has announced that season 8 will not be broken into two parts. Considering this news, many believed that Doctor Who would return in the fall and make a smooth run into the Christmas special. However, the yearly special often airs outside of the regular season.

When Wheatley's episodes do make it to fans, viewers will get to see Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor once more. Despite the fact that he regenerated in "The time of the Doctor," Smith will return for a brief cameo role. The bowtie enthusiast will be placing a long distance call from Trenzelor to Clara in Victorian London.
