The 25-year-old actress is engaged to marry boyfriend Ricky Van Veen, her rep Lindsay Galin confirmed to People magazine on Wednesday.

Allison, the daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams, has been dating the co-founder of the comedy website CollegeHumor for three years after the two met through mutual friends.

The Yale graduate spoke about her love life with Larry King in January and revealed that her famous father is fond of her beau.

Williams later revealed to Glamour magazine that she wouldn't mind stepping away from Hollywood to start a family.

"My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom. I'd love to be a mom -- and not have to bring my kids into my trailer...Or a balance...But you've [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent," she said.

Williams landed her breakthrough role as Marnie Michaels on the popular HBO show Girls, which premiered in 2012. Currently in its third season, Girls also stars Lena Dunham, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet.
