Chris Brown has reportedly been contacting Rihanna amid his relationship with Karrueche Tran.

According to New York Post's Page Six, Brown, who just finished spending 90 days in anger management rehab has been texting Rihanna at the same time she is rumored to be spending time in Paris with her other ex-boyfriend, Drake. 

"Chris started texting Rihanna on her birthday [Feb. 20], and the two have been sending each other a flurry of texts ever since," a source close to the singers said. 

"Rihanna didn't write back right away . . . but later that night she started getting sentimental and texted back, 'thank you,' and asked how he was," the source explained. "Since then, the two haven't stopped texting each other and friends are freaked out that she's going to start dating him again."

The source added that friends are "freaking out" that she might be considering hooking up with Brown, despite the fact that he appears to be in a committed relationship with Tran.

Drake and Brown have bad history after they got into a bottle-throwing altercation at a New York nightclub after Drake reportedly sent note saying, "I'm [bleeping] the love of your life."

Since then, Rihanna has gone back to dating Brown, but the couple broke up in 2012. 

Brown's rep said that he is only focused on his career and wishes Rihanna all the best. 

"[Chris] is focused about his recovery. He only wants the best for her and is happy that she found someone."
