Angela Stanton is fighting back against Phaedra Parks' lawsuit and allegations that she defamed her in her book, Lies of a Real Housewife, when she claimed that Parks was the ringleader of a fraud scam that landed Stanton and Parks' husband, Apollo Nida behind bars.

In new court documents released, Stanton's lawyers maintain that she has not defamed The Real Housewives of Atlanta at all in her claims.

A portion reads, "Parks alleges that Stanton defamed her in an interview given to Vibe magazine and in a book Stanton authored, Lies of a real Housewife ("Lies"), which details Stanton's former friendship and participation in criminal enterprises with Parks. Throughout the discovery process, Plaintiff has failed to present a single piece of evidence to support her claims."

It goes on to read that Stanton on the other hand has given "numerous pieces of evidence" to prove that her claims against Parks are very true. Stanton'sn lawyers continue to call out Parks for not showing up for her deposition and not giving documents or any type of evidence to prove that Stanton is lying.

The court documents also detailed the friendship and alleged criminal activity of Stanton and Parks.

"Sometime in 2001, Stanton and Parks began to engage in criminal enterprise together. Stanton "worked for" Parks in this criminal enterprise. Their first criminal enterprise consisted of using fake checks to purchase electronics, jewelry and other high-end items...As payment for her part in this criminal enterprise, Parks provided several fraudulent checks for Stanton to use to purchase whatever she desired."

It also outlined Nida's alleged involvement as well. Nida is currently charged with fraud and is accused of stealing victim's identities to open fake businesses. His scam is said to have squandered more than $3 million.
