The first sneak peek trailer for Mad Men season 7 has been released, and it looks like Don Draper (Jon Hamm) will be on quite a journey in these upcoming episodes.

Don Draper Facing "Irreversible Consequences" Final Season?

While the sneak peek is very brief, it could be argued that the trailer is full of symbols, which Mad Men has been known to use in promotional material.

The trailer features Don exiting a plane in slow motion, a determined look on his face. As he walks down the steps, he is dressed in his old-fashioned suit and dramatically puts on his signature fedora. The use of color in this trailer is highly contrasted, with Don's shadowy figure standing out against the white plane.

James Wolk Teases Return of Bob Benson in Final Episodes?

The sneak peek could suggest that Don is continuing to be the same old guy even in the midst of the cultural revolution, his suit and fedora becoming more outdated with each season.

For further analysis, People noted that the tie he is wearing is the same as the one he wore in Man with a Plan, the seventh episode of season 6. That episode featured Don at his darkest, getting very rough with his mistress, Sylvia Rosen (Linda Cardellini). This could be even further proof that he isn't changing his ways anytime soon.

Even without all the metaphors, the trailer does suggest that Don will be going on a journey, and as Enstars previously reported, the destination is California. Mad Men was spotted filming in a California location for season 7, indicating that viewers could be looking forward to another West Coast episode, in the same vein as The Jet Set from season 2.

Mad Men season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 at 10 p.m. on AMC.
