While avid viewers of Hart of Dixie might have let the idea of Crazy Earl's secret treasure slip their mind, a spoiler alert reveals that it might be gone for good.

Zoe and Joel 'Frustrated' In Relationship?

According to TV Line, writers haven't forgotten about Wade's father's cash stash, but it's very possible that it won't be a story line that is revisited for the father/son duo anytime soon, if at all.

A writer for the site revealed, "Yes, Crazy Earl did, in fact, bury money in front of hush ouse (his first name is Crazy, after all) and I hear there are several writers on the show being driven just as crazy that the matter hasn't been touched on since. Whether they ever come back to it is [to be determined], but I can assure you that they are most definitely aware of the hanging point in this story."

Jaime King Talks Being New Mom

What is determined at this point is that Lemon Breeland's character (played by Jaime King) is slated to make her comeback when the show returns from hiatus on its new night, from Monday to Friday.

It doesn't take long for the southern belle to stir up drama as a promo for the new episode, set to air March 21, reveals that she quickly ends up in jail and has two boys fighting over her. A synopsis for the upcoming episode reads:

"When Zoe's (Rachel Bilson) mom (guest star JoBeth Williams) takes her on as a client, Zoe is secretly thrilled that she will finally get her mother's undivided attention. Brick (Tim Matheson) is surprised to hear that Lemon (Jaime King) is returning to town soon, so he enlists Lavon's (Cress Williams) help to throw a welcome home party for her. However, her return hits an unexpected snag and she is forced to turn to Wade (Wilson Bethel) for help. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) is roped into helping Magnolia (guest star Claudia Lee)."

Hart of Dixie returns Friday March 21 at 9/8c on The CW.
