Although it seemed Adam Newman was killed off of The Young and the Restless after a tragic car accident, it appears he'll make his return soon.

On a recent episode, fans discovered that a homeless witness saw Adam flee from the car crash, in which Billy also escaped.

However, Michael Muhney, who played the character since 2009, won't reprise his role on the soap opera. The 38-year-old was fired from the series in December after he allegedly groped his co-star, Hunter King, according to TMZ.

King, 20, who plays Summer on the show, reportedly complained to the executives that Muhney touched her breasts twice and producer Jill Farren Phelps agreed to give him the axe.

Reports indicate that the show is actively looking for a replacement as sources told Radar Online that auditions are underway.

"Producers haven't found the best actor yet to fill the role. It's important that the role be filled by someone the audience will grow to love," the source said.

Yet, tons of fans remain outraged by the decision to fire Muhney and continue to express their thoughts on Twitter. Some even say that no one can replace Muhney.

Muhney took to Twitter to defend himself against the allegations of sexual harassment.

“Benjamin Franklin said it best, "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see,” he wrote. “...and that quote doesn't only apply to what is being said about ME. It also applies to others. Please be kind to everyone. #respect.”
