Arya (Maisie Williams) may be one of the more popular characters on Game of Thrones, but she will be embracing her dark side in the upcoming fourth season of the show.

Game of Thrones: The Movie?

Williams spoke with Zap2It about season 4 of Game of Thrones in a Friday report, revealing that Arya will feel no particular emotion towards anyone or anything.

"She gets herself into a lot of sticky situations, but they're really good situations for her. Old Arya would be nervous about it and wouldn't push things as far as new Arya pushes them," Williams said. "She doesn't keep her mouth shut . . . the new Arya is just a lot less aware of that, almost, and isn't trying to be cheeky; [she] just purely doesn't care. I think that's the one thing to take away from Arya this year: She feels nothing. She's not happy, she's not sad, she's not grieving, she's not vengeful. She's just nothing."

New Character Becomes "Dangerous" Threat To The Lannisters?

Williams admitted that she no longer wants Game of Thrones fans to root for Arya, despite her large fanbase. The 16-year-old actress explained that Arya is not the same girl as she was in previous seasons and that she's not on the show to be everyone's favorite character.

"She's real. People go down bad paths and they make bad decisions, but it's always justified in their head," Williams noted. "I want the audience to differentiate that and not just be like, 'Oh, it's Arya, we love her.' Because actually look at what Arya's doing. She's being eaten away from the inside out, and she's not stopping it."

In the final episodes of season 3, Arya went through a lot of emotions, having been mere feet away from the Red Wedding that killed her mother Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) and brother Robb (Richard Madden). She asked a nearby soldier for food and shelter and when the soldier was rude to her, she prompting stabbed him to death. Then, looking numb to everything, Arya whispered "Valar Morghulis," translating to "all men must die."

Williams told Zap2It that she doesn't want Arya to be looking out for anyone other than herself going forward, since she doesn't have to.

"She's finally realizing that, in this world, if you want to win, then you do anything you can," she asserted.

Game of Thrones season 4 premieres Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
