Kensi is back with the NCIS: Los Angeles team, but her Afghan excursion will find a way to haunt her when she returns to the shores of California.

Kensi Stuck In Ops Following Return From Afghanistan On 'NCIS: LA'?

Agent Blye (Daniela Ruah) took a beating at the hands of the Taliban for several days before Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Co. managed to get her back. While it is currently unknown if she was tortured to the same extent as Sam (LL Cool J), and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were in the season premiere, viewers will learn more about her time abroad through flashbacks, according to the TV Guide.

In the meantime, Kensi will handle her emotional recovery in a markedly different way than Deeks.

"I find it interesting how they react in two very different ways," Ruah told TV Guide. "Deeks began to sort of doubt what he's doing with his life and wonder if he should come back, where I think Kensi has a very different reaction. I think what she finds stability in is her job, and I think that's what she's going to hold onto to make herself not go crazy, or feel overly traumatized about what happened."

However, it will be some time before Hetty (Linda Hunt) allows her back in the field. Kensi will spend her first case back sitting up in Ops with Eric (Barrett Foa), an assignment that neither of them will be overly thrilled about.
