The 35-year-old actor could be asked to testify against Miles Levy, his one-time manager of 20 years, whose former business partners have now accused him of developing a scheme which would allow him to bring the actor's own commissions into his on private bank accounts, The Daily Mail reported on April 19.

According to court documents, Levy began moving money into his own private company back in 2006, after telling his former partners that Franco no longer wanted to pay their 15 percent commissions, and was cutting them to 10 percent. However, Franco never reportedly directed any such thing and continued to pay 15. Levy would divert the five percent into his own accounts.

Levy, who also produced several of Franco's films, including Spring Breakers, As I Lay Dying and Lovelace, was let go by the actor last year, though no official reason was given for the two suddenly parting ways.

It was reported, however, that after Franco fired Levy, the two reached a confidential settlement over something, meaning Franco may have figured out the theft on his own.

Franco, who is currently starring in Of Mice and Men on Broadway, recently made headlines for flirting with a 17-year-old tourist via Instagram, and allegedly suggesting the two get a hotel room together.

Though the girl, Lucy Clode was of consenting age, Franco did apologize for his actions.
