Mark Ruffalo's 2012 performance as the Hulk helped produce a smash-hit (terrible pun intended), but the Now You See Me actor is looking to take his motion-capture performance to the next level for the 2015 sequel. To do so, Ruffalo has turned to Andy Serkis, the man behind Gollum.

Contrary to what some may believe, Serkis does not spend his time between films crouched over the mo-cap tech, stroking it and calling it his precious. Instead, Serkis has been teaching Ruffalo a few tricks of the trade before he drops into a galaxy far, far away for his Star Wars: Episode VII role.

"Well, I have been working with the great [Andy Serkis] on the big green boy and he is going to be even better then [Avengers 1]," Ruffalo tweeted at the end of April.

Not much is known about Bruce Banner/Hulk's role in Age of Ultron, but Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe did reveal some intriguing concept art that appears to pit Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and his Hulkbuster armor against the big green monster.

Hulk fans can get a glimpse of the carnage that confrontation will create by clicking the video below, which was filmed during Age of Ultron's brief filming stint in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
