Dancing with the Stars said goodbye to two more performers during Monday's "American Icons" competition.

Thanks to the season 17 decision to forgo results episodes, competitors are now eliminated based on their previous week's performance. Scores and voting from last week's "Celebrity Dance Duel" left Charlie White and Sharna Burgess in last place and the couple was booted from the ABC series.

White and Burgess elimination came as something of a surprise. The ice dancer and his partner have been pulling in high scores all season and even scored a perfect 40 on their "Celebrity Dance Duel" quickstep. Despite receiving a 36 for their samba and a 40 for their foxtrot on Monday, voters and judges put an end to the couple's Stars stint.

Just as White and Burgess have been excelling as of late, fellow Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy managed to dominate the scoreboard once more. With a 40 for their jive and a 40 for their Viennese Waltz, Davis and Chmerkovskiy's most aggressive competition came when Amy Purdy and Derek Hough received two 39s.

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will return on May 12 with the semifinals.
