Fans of The Amazing Race will need to reset their DVR's when the show returns for its 25th season this fall on a new night.

Brenchel Fails To Clench $1 Million Dollar Prize

After several fans complained that the show's 8 p.m. start time was often delayed on Sundays due to sports coverage, CBS has decided to move the show to a new Friday night timeslot, a fact that host Phil Keoghan confirmed on his Twitter page May 18.

After a fan tweeted him asking if the show had been renewed for a new season, Keoghan responded to tell the fan that the show had been in fact picked up for another season, but would be transferring to a new night.

Brenchel 'Plays Dirty' In 'Amazing Race: All-Stars Finale

"Yes new time slot Friday nights no time delays," he responded.

The delays had been an issue for fans the past few seasons, as sports broadcasts including football games in the fall and golf matches in the spring, would often delay the Sunday night lineup of 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, The Good Wife and The Mentalist.

The show's final Sunday episode aired May 18, with the Season 24 finale that saw Father/Son cancer survivors Dave and Connor O'Leary cross the finish line first, nabbing not only the $1 million dollar prize, but the title of Amazing Race All-Stars champions, and honors including being the first parent/child team to win the race, as well as the title for having the oldest person ever to win on their team (Dave is 58-years-old).

Since their win, Dave and Connor spoke to TV Guide about the experience, and called their win an out-of-body experience that they still can't believe happened.

"It's still like an out-of-body experience to win," Dave said. "We've won this, but have we really won it? I'm in the real estate business and I close apartment deals, and I always wait for the check to clear before I can really say I closed the deal. That's kind of how I feel about this! I still haven't even seen [the check]!"

Though Dave didn't say what he would use his winnings on, Connor said he would like to donate some to cancer research and save the rest with the hopes of investing.

The final episode of the All-Stars season proved to be a dramatic one, with the rivalry between the father/son team and their allied team Jennifer Wayne and Caroline Cutbirth against newlyweds Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly flared up again with accusations that the newlyweds were playing dirty and unfair.

The rivalry appears to still not have been settled, as the married couple, collectively known as 'Brenchel' spoke to Wetpaint about their loss, and admitted they want nothing to do with their fellow finalists.

"We don't talk to Jen and Caroline and we don't talk to Dave and Connor, but besides that, I feel like we're pretty close with everyone in the cast," Reilly said. "I have no desire to ever talk to those four again. Like, if I see them in person, I will walk the other way."
