Ever since Hollywood charmer Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Buried) and Gossip Girl star Blake Lively (Savages, The Town) privately tied the knot in 2012, pregnancy rumors have begun to rise and fall pretty regularly.

In a 2013 interview with Access Hollywood, Reynolds expressed an interest in having children. "One [child] is great, six is great," he said, "It all depends on what happens." He goes on to note: "I think you do a lot of personal healing when you're parenting a child... we all know it's one of the hardest jobs in the world."

While not a parent yet himself, Reynolds does come from a family with lots of children. He is a proud uncle. Lively, who has six nieces and nephews and enjoys their visits, seems to be in the same boat.

The generally private couple were most recently seen together at the Cannes Film Festival, where Reynolds's latest film, The Captive, received a less than favorable response.

Lively, on the other hand, was hailed for her attire, walking the red carpet in an elegant black and white dress by Gucci.

The dress did more than just steal the spotlight, it also functioned to quell any recent baby rumors. While it did include a billowing design down the bottom, the top was certainly form fitting at the waist and hips.

Some Hollywood style choices allow for "mights" or "maybes," but this does not seem to be one of them. The world will just have to wait a little longer for beautiful little Reynolds-Lively children.
