True Blood is pulling out all the stops for season 7. The hit HBO show just released its newest poster, which is leaving fans in hysterics. Could Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) be in danger?

How Will True Blood End?

Many theories are circulating that the black poster, which features Sookie with tears of blood on her face means that that the waitress will be turning into a vampire. Obviously, no one from the show has commented, but fans can expect a lot of turmoil for the series last episodes.

"Fans can expect a bloody barbecue with consequences in the season premiere," True Blood executive producer Brian Buckner said. "Nobody's safe." But, if Sookie does become a vampire, who turns the pretty blonde? Will it be Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer)? Or perhaps Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), making a return from his vacation?

Will Bill And Sookie End Up Together?

With that in mind, the last season promises lots of Bill and Sookie time. "In the final season, we're telling a more personal story," Buckner said. "We're going back to the original promise of the show: Bill and Sookie. People are going to be very surprised about the way we get there. There's romance, sadness and resolution."

Could that sadness be about where Eric might be? Fans are up in arms about the lack of Skarsgard in any trailers or posters.

Last time we saw him, Eric was bursting into flames (naked) while sunbathing. Many websites indicate that Skarsgard is a series regular on the show, so the hot actor must make an appearance on the highly anticipated final season. Skarsgard was busy last year filming The Giver, so that's a possiblity on why he's not featured in as many promos for the new True Blood season.

True Blood returns June 22 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
