With the latest coverage surrounding Girls creator Lena Dunham and her dog Lamby, people may start to notice the rush of dogs that have found celebrity homes in the last few years.

These days, Lamby seems to be making headlines just as much as Dunham. On May 29, E! reported on Dunham's Instagram comments on how the dog biting her in the butt as a reaction to her crying. She does go on to state that Lamby, whom she rescued from a shelter, is for the most part a subdued dog.

Dunham his not the only one to opt for rescuing as apposed to going out and buying a pet. Carrie Preston (True Blood, The Good Wife) and husband Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) found Lamby through a rescue adoption program. According to an interview with Preston in Modern Dog, the couple had wanted to adopt a dog for years. She is featured alongside the article with little Chumley, as content as can be.

Posing for pics is not all these dogs do. Interestingly enough, Carrie Underwood's dogs, Ace and Penny, manage to have their own Twitter account (@AceandPenny) with over eight thousand followers.

It seems these pups are starting to get just as busy as their owners.
