While the newest season of ABC's Rookie Blue is in full swing in Canada, it still has yet to premiere in the United States; which cast member Missy Peregrym is not exactly ecstatic about.

Sam And Andy 'Change' To Make Relationship Work?

Peregrym, who plays Officer Andy McNally in the ABC series recently told Zap2It that she's afraid the gap will cause episodes to leak in the United States before the show actually premieres.

"I'm not happy about that. "I was definitely frustrated to hear [about it].The States are always going to be four episodes behind now. It's so difficult to even do press and publicity, because I don't want to be the one who's giving things away. I can't do interviews and say all these things just for the Canadian side, because it's not like everything stays in Canada."

Andy Ruins Relationship With Nick?

She added that she is only allowed to speak on the first half of the season and fans will simply have to wait and see what happens in the later half. But these days with social media being an extremely dominant source of communication, especially when it comes live tweeting during hit shows like Rookie Blue. Peregrym said that this is another concern the show is facing because of the four episode gap.

Still, she is hopeful that new episodes will still be a surprise for ABC viewers.

She went on to say, "Understanding the ins and outs of this is not part of my job," she notes, "and it's out of my control anyway. I really don't know how this is going to work, but I'm trusting that everything works out as it should."

Rookie Blue season 5 premieres on ABC June 19 at 10/9c.
