It looks as though Bethenny Frankel might be losing more than just her family in her legal case against her soon-to-be ex-husband Jason Hoppy. There's new speculation that the former reality television star might go bankrupt because her negative publicity is hurting her business deals and popularity with her fans.

Is Bethenny Frankel's Divorce Hurting Her SkinnyGirl Brand?

Both Frankel and Hoppy have been airing out dirty details of their seperation as they battle for custody of their daughter, 4-year-old Bryn, in what has become a nasty court battle.

Now that she is no longer on television, as her daytime talk show, Bethenny has been axed, the only thing the 43-year-old star has left in her business portfolio is her alcohol and lifestyle brand, SkinnyGirl. Insiders close to the single mother say that her investors are worried that all of her negative press might hurt the brand's sales and that Frankel might end up losing a huge portion of her fortune because of her divorce battle.

"Bethenny's camp is concerned it could really damage her SkinnyGirl brand, but she isn't taking anyone's advice, and won't voluntarily agree to sharing custody of Bryn," a source close to the television personality says.

In addition it looks like her upcoming book, Cookie Meets Peanut, is already being deemed a failure as only a handful of fans showed up to her book signing at the annual Author's BookExpo in New York City last weekend.
