It looks as though there might be a major plot twist on the upcoming season of ABC's huge hit, Scandal. There's new speculation that Mellie Grant might be the next character to go, following Jerry's untimely death and Olivia's disappearance.

There's speculation that suggests Mellie's life is in danger, as she might have become infected after Jerry sneezed and coughed up blood in front of her and a packed audience in Season 3. Bellamy Young, who plays Mellie in the series, is hoping for a different fate for her character, though.

"I don't Google things about medicine on the Internet because if I did I'd get myself all worked up," Young recently said in an interview. "But now I'll be all worked up! I don't know! He did, he sneezed all over me, there was blood all over my blazer and everywhere else."

Meanwhile, many fans of the show say that Mellie will play an important role on the upcoming season for her husband as Fitz needs to lean on her now that he's been re-elected President and they've lost their son. Insiders close to the show say that will be closer than ever and with Olivia temporary gone, Fitz will need Mellie to "rise up and be the leader he's destined to be."
