As Under the Dome enters its second season, its two main characters will be facing some big conflicts together, according to new spoilers.

Barbie's Life Left 'In Big Jim's Hands' In Under the Dome Season 2 Premiere?

Barbie (Mike Vogel) and Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) are set to face some challenges in their relationship, according to a new spoiler report by TV Guide. There will be an incident in episode 3 of the upcoming second season that tests the characters.

"Julia and Barbie face a very, very trying situation in Episode 3 that really puts their relationship to the test," Under the Dome executive producer Neal Baer told TV Guide in the report. It is not known what exactly the situation will be.

Big Jim Caught Between Julia & New Woman In Under the Dome Season 2?

In other Under the Dome spoiler news, the first scene of the premiere episode has been revealed. Stephen King, who wrote the book on which the series is based, also wrote the script for the premiere episode of Season 2. King sat down with Entertainment Weekly and read the script's first scene aloud.

In his reading, King reveals that the premiere will open on a dome flicking on and off, but it eventually shown to just be a lamp. The character of Sam (Eddie Cahill) is gradually introduced. Sam appears to have a drinking problem, based on King's reading that he has an "emergency" bottle of alcohol hiding in his house. He looks out the window and sees a bright light - at which point King stops reading.

To find out what happens next, Under the Dome Season 2 premieres Monday, June 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
