Instagram model and gymnast McKayla Maroney is known for making the "not impressed" facial expressions where she discussed the story behind that face and how it became such a big deal.

On Wednesday, ESPN posted a story on Maroney who revealed that the picture of her frowning wasn't something she thought would be her trademark.

"I wasn't expecting two seconds of me on the medal stand to go viral after the Olympics," she said. "I came back to my room after the medal ceremony, and my dad said this picture of me doing a face I don't even remember making is blowing up."

The gymnast then said that she makes that face all the time and people don't tend to pay attention to it.

"My teammates don't even notice it because I do it so often when I am not impressed," Maroney said. "If you tell me my flight is delayed, I'll unconsciously make that face."

Apparently, the look on Maroney's face went all the way to President Obama where he supposedly asked to make the face with her.

"'When you're the president, you're always unimpressed with something,' he joked. He totally knew how to make it; I didn't have to instruct him," Maroney said.

The gymnast is also known for her Instagram selfies where she currently has more than 700,000 followers. Her last image added on Sunday shows a family photo with her dad as a way to honor him for Father's Day.
