In an interview dated June 3, Julianna Margulies revealed that her favorite scene partner was Alan Cumming, who plays Eli Gould on The Good Wife.

Margulies was part of an Emmy roundtable conducted by the LA Times which also featured Vera Farmiga of Bates Motel, Jon Hamm of Mad Men and Lizzy Caplan of Masters of Sex.

When asked about her most favored actor to work with on the CBS legal drama series, Margulies went for "good friend" Cumming.

"I love the way Alicia reacts with Eli Gold," Margulies said. "Because, I mean, Alan Cumming is a dear friend of mine anyway, and it's so rare that we get scenes together, but when we do, I think she's constantly shocking him in ways that makes her laugh, because to her it's so not a shock, but he's so earnest and stern, and yet he's completely lost when it comes to Alicia, and I think she likes playing him."

The highlight of the finale for season 5 was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) becomea candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.

The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.

Season 6 will premiere on CBS on September 21.
