The Children's Television Workshop have created their own spoof "Share It Maybe" featuring "Sesame Street" character Cookie Monster. The parody of the chart-topping single "Call Me Maybe" by Canadian artist Carly Rae Jepsen has revised lyrics that are more kid-friendly for Sesame Street fans.

"Call Me Maybe" is a song from Rae Jepsen's first EP "Curiosity".

The video was recorded in a setting among office workers and features Cookie Monster changing Jepsen's original lyrics, "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe" to: "Hey, me just met you, and this is crazy, but you got cookie, so share it maybe," sings the Sesame Street character. "It hard to look at your snack baby, but you got cookie, so share it maybe."

On YouTube, the video got 1.7 million views as of Wednesday, just one day after it was posted.

Cookie Monster was added himself to the long list of those who have made spoofs to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe".

"Call Me Maybe" has already been covered by several artists, including Katy Perry, Fun, Big Time Rush, Ashley Tisdale, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

The song became a hit when Justin Bieber tweeted a video of him lip-syncing the song with his girlfriend Selena Gomez and his friends.

"Hey guys! Here's the music video I promised featuring all my friends to Carly Rae Jepsen's song 'Call Me Maybe',"he tweeted.

The song has had so much success that Billboard posted an article "The Top 10 Call Me Maybe Covers".
