4th of July Fireworks San Francisco 2014: Best Spot For Viewing Lit-Up Skies Over Golden Gate Bridge At Pier 39, Bay Cruises Available [LIVE STREAM]
San Francisco has long been considered one of the more down-to-earth and hip cities in the U.S., and to ensure that patriotic residents get the best out of their Fourth of July celebrations, the city is planning a fantastic fireworks show at Pier 39 on Fisherman's Wharf.
The annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Pier begins early, with events scheduled for the entire day, before the big show begins later at night.
Musical events include Mobility from the USAF Band of the Golden West on the Entrance Plaza Stage from 12 noon until 3 p.m., as well as a concert by Tainted Love from 5-8 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.
While there are several great viewing areas around Pier 39 itself, those who wish to spend a little cash can have more luxurious viewing experiences by taking one of several cruises around the Bay, though advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
AC SailingSF Fireworks Sail is offering a 2.5 hour cruise around the Bay for $140 per person, but other companies are offering cheaper deals, including:
1. Bay Voyager Fireworks Cruise: 1.5 hour cruise, $125 per person.
2. Adventure Cat Fireworks Cruise: 1.5-2 hour cruise, $75 per person.
3. Blue & Gold Fleet Fireworks Cruise: 2 hour cruise; Adults: $70 per person, Kids $50 per person, or you can purchase a family pack for 2 children and 2 adults for $200.
