Bits of information about fans can expect from the next season have been surfacing via interactions with the creator and cast members of the show.

A.J. Cook, who plays Jennifer Jareau on the show, recently revealed that the finale of season 9 will actually influence the way things pan out in season 10.

"It's Season 10, its going to be a big season. I will say that how Season 9 ends will directly impact Season 10," she said.

Mantegna also revealed that he will be directing an episode in season 10 just like he did in season 9 and was hoping for a generous budget.

Some strands of the plot which were left undone in the last season will be picked up in the next season. Messer hinted that the message Hotch received might very well be from Blake (Jeanne Tripplehorn) and they might address that in the next season.

There is also some concern about Reid and the suggestion that he might start abusing Dilaudid again. showunner, Erica Messer stated that that was something the writers would discuss right away, as soon as they got back.

The biggest bit of new that came out after the finale was that Jane Lynch might be returning for season 10 and they might be all right with just six members on the team. Messer suggested that they might look for a suitable replacement for Jeanne Tripplehorn but there was no rush.

The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Season 10 will premiere on CBS on October 1.
