On the iPhone 5 release date for Sprint and Verizon stores, analysts predict that the Apple product will outsell the Android. This prediction comes assuming the iPhone 5 will support LTE (Long Term Evolution) for wireless high-speed data.

Smartphones featuring LTE have been noted to crush other competitors. Just recently, Motorola's Droid RAZR MAXX became the most demanded smartphone for Verizon because of it's LTE technology. According to Tavis Mccourt, an analyst at Raymond James, with this iPhone 5 advancement, Sprint and Verizon may sell more iPhone 5s and reach the 70% market share similar to the AT&T smartphone dispensation.

As reported by Barron's, Mccourt anticipates that LTE Androids "will take a severe hit to demand when an LTE-based iPhone is announced."

Although great success is expected for iPhone 5 sales, Verizon stores reportedly sold less iPhone 4S phones last quarter compared to the rival option, Droid RAZR Maxx Android phones. This preference was largerly due to the larger screen, the LTE, and the "longer battery life" campiagn from Verizon.

If the iPhone 5 design is true to rumors that claim it will support LTE and have a larger display, than the Apple phone is a sure success agaisnt the Andriod, experts claim.

Sprint is ready for the LTE demands when the iPhone 5 releases. According to Steve Elfman, president of Sprint, the network is prepared for the iPhone 5 whether it supports the new technology or not.
