Jennifer Lopez might be keeping mum about her personal life these days, but it looks like there is one recent who has no problem spilling the beans about their very brief fling. Dancing With The Stars megastar Maksim Chmerkovskiy has confirmed that the two did indeed date and that his relationship with her was way too hot to handle.

In a new interview, Chmerkovskiy says that dating Lopez brought his fame to a whole new level, although it was a rather "annoying" experience for him as well.

"I now understand why Hollywood is such a different place to have a good relationship in," the dancer says, according to the NY Daily News. "Because there's all these interferences. Two people have to be so strong - and notice I didn't say 'in love.' They have to be in love, but trust me, there have been situations when two people have been really in love and all of this gets in the way and it completely ruins it."

As far as how the two broke up, Chmerkovskiy refuses to divulge in any additional details.

"With the Jennifer thing, look, we're friends and we're friends," he added. "This is it. This is where it ends, pretty much."

Just last month, Lopez took to her Twitter account to answer the big question on whether or not she is dating Chmerkovskiy, and she was very firm in her answer.

"No I'm not. (dating anyone new already.)" Lopez tweeted when a follower asked her about her love life.

It is currently unknown if Chmerkovskiy will return to Dancing With the Stars this fall.
