Reeve Carney is known by two sets of audiences: those that recognize him from his music, and those that know his face from Showtime's supernatural drama Penny Dreadful.

Carney plays Dorian Gray on the Victorian series, which finished out its first season last month. Production for season two begins in Ireland after the cast appears at San Diego Comic Con later this month, but for now, Carney is in New York City, working on his music and enjoying his time back in the states.

So what does the actor think about when he's not on set, performing, or working on his new solo album? Dreaming up a Frankenstein-inspired recording studio of course.

"I am absolutely obsessed with Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory…" tweeted Carney recently, referring to Frankenstein's (Harry Treadaway) hidden lab on Penny Dreadful. "Want to get the blueprints to build a recording studio with!"

Will the star go through with it? The idea seems unlikely, though completely possible given Carney's inclinations. After all, he's admitted that his character's unique sense of style on the series is not too far off from his own. Fans unanimously supported the idea, encouraging him to go through with it.

The actor took a more somber approach Tuesday, taking the time on Twitter to appreciate all his good fortunate. "Just a moment of gratitude for all of the incredible people in my life…" he wrote, "Having a moment of a sort of grand understanding."

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
