Nathan Fillion's Guardians of the Galaxy cameo has finally been revealed.

'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Director Talks Creating Nebula's 'Bald, Cybernetic' Look For Karen Gillan

Back in April, the former Browncoat teased the possibility of an appearance in the James Gunn, and fans have since compiled a list of possible roles for the Castle star.

However, it looks like Fillion's cameo will be just that - a quick stop in the world of Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) with no lingering implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What Lines Does Groot Really Have In 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'? Vin Diesel Explains Quiet Character

Stitch Kingdom allegedly snagged a copy of the final credits, and the site claims that Fillion's role is listed as "Monstrous Inmate." If this is true, the new role title negates previous rumors that the actor would continue on in the Guardians universe as Richard Rider, a.k.a Nova.

Fillion has said little about his upcoming role since St. Louis Comic-Con, during which IGN reported he told fans that "Maybe there'll be a surprise. Maybe check the credits after the movie when you watch it."

Guardians of the Galaxy will star Pratt as Star-Lord, Karen Gillian as Nebula, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccon, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser.
