Austin Mahone is gearing up for his summer tour, but did he have any prom plans this year?
Unfortunately that answer was no. In a new interview with TV Guide published last Wedneaday, Mahone, 18, said he did not go the annual high school event. "No," the singer said, "what I'm doing now is way cooler."
What's he's doing now is going on his second solo tour across America. Mahone is getting ready for his headlining summer tour, which kicks off on July 25 in San Antonio and also shared what he needs when he's on the road. "I need white Oreos, I need a basketball, just incase a game breaks out and a play station."
Mahone will be on the road for awhile. His tour, which also features openers The Vamps, Fifth Harmony and Shawn Mendes, will go until September 9 in Cleveland.
Mahone just landed home in San Antonio before his Friday kick-off. On Monday, Mahone tweeted to his fans "You aren't ready#AustinMahoneTour #4moredays" The day before, Mahone also posted a photo on Instagram with the caption "SAN ANTONIO IM HOME!!!"
Mahone's last tour was in the winter, after he had to postpone it due a serious illness. Mahone suffered a blood clot in October 2013. His rep told Gossip Cop at the time that Mahone was "admitted to the hospital with 104 temperature and is being treated for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as severe dehydration."
